Innocence is an on-going series exploring a shape that shaped my childhood.
This shape is a multi-dimensional being. Influenced by the ‘summer of love’ flowers that were resurrected and recycled onto the Limited Too wardrobe of my dreams from my early 1990’s Midwestern mall upbringing; a representation of youthful freedom. My mom made me a rug for me out of this shape in my favorite lime green color that was my first memory of receiving a gift that I loved.
Blobular and amorphous, it is ever-changing. It is a flower, it is a body, it is an expression. It feels and it reflects.
